What you need for conversion set

- Small flat screwdriver
- Soldering iron 15W/25W
- Something to cut
Installation time: Around 40 minutes
Difficulty: You might find taking off the flywheel a challenge, but there is a great video explaining you how you can do this confidently.
It’s a relatively easy model to convert, as there is no worm to gear interaction. Hold the sides of the housing a part and pull the chassis out of the housing.
Remove the two screws that hold the electronics board in place.

To take the flywheel off and you don’t know how to approach this, I think you will find this video very enlightening.
Remove the two clips that hold the motor in place.
Tap the brass adapter in the flywheel.
Slide the flywheel on the motor shaft (non wire side). You might not need to use glue, as most likely it will be a press fit and stay in place.
When soldering the wires, note there is a little + (plus) on the side of one contact. I’ve connected the orange wire to the plus, here.
When you test fit the assembly in the model, it will be obvious where the flywheel has to be positioned.
This motor upgrade kit can very well be converted to DCC. Check the digital setting page, for many decoders, to get the best driving experience.
