No milling required!
Original frame. Compare this to your model, to make sure you’ve got the right one.
Take the housing off by bending the sides outwards with the nails of your thumb, then pull a bogie towards you to lift the chassis out.
Take the electronics board off and the two brass rings that hold the shafts down out. Put the two light bulbs aside (at the ends of the model), you might loose them.
Pull the worms from the original motor. This can be done with your fingers.
Before you solder the wires, check what the plus pole is of the motor. You can see this by the + mark (duh!).
Firmly, but carefully press the worm on the brass adapter until you can’t get it further. Do this for both worms. Push the adapters on the motor shaft. ONLY when they spin loose, you need to glue it (a little! Loctite or superglue), but the tubes I had, had a nice push fit.
Mind the two lamps on the fronts, put them aside.
Pull contacts sidewards to release PCB board. Take PCB board off.

Now test that your model is going in the same direction as your other trains and the correct light turns on, otherwise you’ll have to swap the connections to between the motor and the board around.
Before you place the brass rings back, put a little grease on the shaft where the ring will press on it.
Solder wire to the motor. The Tramfabriek sells the best thin wire you ever will have, to install electronics in model trains, here. The orange wire on the picture is connected to the plus.
Solder the wires to the contacts that were previously pressing on the original motor.
Put the electronics board back on top and don’t forget to put the light bulbs in place.
